2015 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,200 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 37 trips to carry that many people.

What an amazing trip this has been so far! When I started this blog back in August, all I was looking to do was have my own little space to post book reviews and keep my writing skills limber. Little did I know that within just a few short months, that I’d have not only over 100 people reading what I have to say, but would have started to cultivate relationships with other like-minded bloggers the world over. I’m incredibly humbled by these achievements and am so excited to see what’s to come in 2016.

I’d like to give shout outs to a few individual people who I feel have been instrumental in growth of Only True Magic thus far.

  • Kat, Jackie, Nicola, Olivia, and CW for being the top commenters with me and keeping the conversation alive
  • Jess for giving me a spot in her Feature with Followers
  • Aneta for allowing me the opportunity to read and review her first book
  • and YOU, dearest reader, for taking the time out of your life to read through my ramblings. I’m so appreciative of every single person that reads this blog, interacts with me, and makes my world a little bit brighter.

While I’ve had a lot of ups and downs this year in terms of personal tragedy and my continued struggles with depression, I have to say that one of the things that has kept me going to give me an extra dose of light is this blog. There’s a lot of promise in store for me in this new year, and I’m so glad that I can have something to turn to as an outlet to vent about books or sing the praises of wonderful reads.

I wish nothing but much joy and happiness to all in the coming year!
